ceramics project

The design element i focused on was the wave part. The medium of my project is clay. good proportion its a foot by a foot. The technique was hump mold. its serves as a center peice. It was based off a flower. That kilns are really cool and have good function. I probably use color if i did it over again.

#5

I really liked doing this project because you really had to get creative with it and have to figure out how to put like many different aspects into one little logo. I drew four little drawings then had to combined them to this. It basically means I like the sun, summer, ocean, boats, and i think anchors are cute, then my initials.

#4

This is probably my favorite out of the projects i did, just because it looks like so much effort was put in it but it was actually so simple. I first painted the trunk then just dabbed different shades of green everywhere then i added the black in white to create dimensions and value.

acrylic landscape painting

Making this painting I first had to get the vision of what i was going to paint, so I went online and looked up pictures. I remembered this really pretty lake i saw when they visited on the Bachelor Sean's season. Then i added my own personal touches like the sky and dock. I organized my painting by sky, fore ground, middle ground, and back ground. The atmospheric perspective was the mountains in the background. how every this on the left was darker as if the sun was behind that mountain and the right side was brighter. My color scheme was blue. I used many many different brush strokes. I used value in the mountains a lot.

pastel still life project

I planned my composition by setting the nail polishes on the table and seeing how the light hit it.  A thumbnail sketch is a mini sketch you do looking through a card board cut out of a square to see where your gonna place things in your picture. It helped me decide what angle to do it at. They looked dimensional by shaping and making value. I created a light source by picking a spot for it to be and making every thing lighter as it got closer to the source.
